Along with your completed application you will need to send them:

  • Copies of 2 pieces of government issued Identification (one must include a photo)
  • Contact information of three 3 physicians of recent acquaintance
  • Copy of medical diploma
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Cheque of $150
  • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) Statement of Results
    You will receive an email notification when you can verify your pass/fail result in your physiciansapply.ca account. The Statement of Results will be posted in your account shortly thereafter. You will also receive your Licentiate documents in the mail.
  • Examination results/Certificate in Family Medicine from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
    You may access your results online at cfpc.ca/login approximately 8 weeks after the examination. You will receive email notification when the results are available. You will also receive formal notification of your results by mail. Your certificate will be mailed to you 12 weeks after your certification date.
  • Certificate of Good Standing from your Provincial Medical Regulatory Authority
    If you completed your residency outside of NB, you will require a certificate of Good Standing from your provincial Medical Regulatory Authority. Visit fmrac.ca for their contact information.

Your membership classification as a Resident automatically becomes Active upon becoming certified. As a member of the CFPC, you automatically are a member of the NBCFP.

You will also receive formal notification of your results by mail. You will receive your Certificate in the mail 12 weeks after your certification date.
